شرح سایت روان سنجی: "شات، 1998" برای این آزمون یک عامل "هوش هیجانی معرفی می کند ولی "وایز و کریم 2011" گزارش می کنند که در ده ها مطالعه انجام شده، با کاستن یا افزایش ماده ها، بین سه تا پنج عامل برای آن گزارش شده  است.
13 items measure the Appraisal and Expression of Emotion‚ 10 items measure the Utilisation of Emotions and remaining 10 items measure the Regulation of Emotions.
اعتبار: "شات” اعتبار آزمون را با نام مخفف SSEIT 0.9 گزارش می کند. میانگین اعتبار این تست در 18 مطالعه 0.87 گزارش شده است، به همچنین روایی آن به شیوه های گوناگون تایید شده است.
نمره گذاری: در نسخه ای نمره گذاری ماده های 5 و 28 و 33 معکوس معرفی شده است.
