If the patient responded positively to question 4‚ the patient was offered all of the following options: 1) to notify the Emergency Physician‚ 2) immediate assistance with respect toshelters‚ victim advocacy‚ police involvement or protective admission to hospital‚ 3) afollow-up appointment the next day with the ED social worker‚ and 4) printed matter onshelters‚ legal aid‚ social services‚ and community support groups‚ etc. (p. 119).
